It’s been an unusually long dry period by Scottish standards and when looking at the data, parts of Glasgow’s south/east side are among the driest areas in the UK just now. According to SEPA data from SEPA, the below places have seen the longest spell without rain.
Last measurable rain
Dalmarnock 20 April
Daldowie 21 April
Annfield (Dumfirmline) 23 April
Perth 23 April.
According to the SEPA data, Dalmarnock in Glasgow’s East End has seen the longest spell without rain at 22 days.

According to STV’s Sean Batty, Edinburgh was seen just 3mm of rain since April 1, just 5% of normal.
Rain is in the forecast for late tonight/Friday but with the scattered nature of the showers, especially further north, I would imagine some if not many spots will remain dry tomorrow, possibly Saturday and Sunday too further extending this dry spell.

Widespread shower/thunderstorm activity is likely over much of Ireland, England, Wales and southwest Scotland through early Saturday morning but central parts including parts of Glasgow may miss out further extending the rainless streak.
