After the slow start to the snow season, it looks as though the Western Mountains are set to get plastered by the white stuff as a series of Pacific lows swing onshore.
Good chance pretty much every Western mountain above 6,000ft from Cascades to Southern California’s San Gabriel Mountains To the Colorado Rockies will see a foot or more of snow from today through Monday.
Ample moisture streaming in.

This pattern also looks favourable for some decent rains right over the worst of the Southern drought region where six southern states are in exceptional drought (highest level). In location in northeast Alabama has not seen rain in 89 days!
