It’s a windy day across Ireland and the UK all courtesy of this beautiful, textbook quality low pressure swirl SW of Ireland.

The weekend low is slow to clear east and so it shall remain breezy and showery through Sunday before another low slides in from the SW early next week. There’s a degree of uncertainty as to it’s exact track. This could be the difference between gales or just a breeze for the western UK. The latest ECMWF takes another unusually deep August low further west of the UK meaning minimal impacts from wind at least. I think rain is a given.

With SSW winds blowing with these lows, the air ahead or south of the fronts will be warm and humid.

The low continues to spin west of Ireland mid to late next week which would hint at some very warm, humid air being pulled up from Spain and France.
