We continue with the up and down, highly progressive Atlantic-Europe pattern but there are some positive signs growing in the medium range (6-10 day) of widespread height rises and summer-like warmth returning. Has it arrived you say?
Low pressure this weekend brings wind, rain and for SE England, heat and humidity. The first low is immediately followed by another and it’s AHEAD of this system Sunday-Monday where Southeast England could lift towards 28C.
Once that system and front sweeps through, winds turn northwesterly again and we have a substantial cool shot which could present rural night frosts.
Check out these lows projected by the GFS for late next week.

The Azores and building Greenland high hooks up allowing the delivery of summer brand arctic air down over the British Isles. Nights will be most noticeable as dry, cool air cools easiest after sunset.
Into mid next week and the models indicate the Atlantic high moves into Western Europe settling things down and warming it up. This includes Northern Ireland and Scotland which too often miss out. Expect to see mid 20s return of these charts hold true.
