We have a dangerous setup on the Plains today!

Juicy air already in place as southerly flow and increases along with daytime heating.

Projected highs this afternoon.

Cold air sliding over very warm, moist air leads to incredible CAPE values.

Another system follows late week and will present another significant severe weather and tornado threat.

Today’s GFS 500mb height anomaly looks strikingly similar to Friday’s.
