No Change In Snowstorm Thinking, Focus Likely Near DC

Written by on January 20, 2016 in United States of America, Winter 2015/16 with 0 Comments

There is little change in overall thinking with regards to the late week/weekend snowstorm. This is a textbook case of all the ingredients coming together and southern and northern branch energy converging and intensification of an intense, closed upper low right over or just south of Washington DC.

Just look at the latest GFS 500mb chart and see how this thing comes together. Remember the feedback off the coast.
