It’s a wet and windy one this morning over the UK and more of the same is on it’s way. Gonzalo is now battering eastern Newfoundland and the Avalon Peninsula but by the time we waken Tuesday it will be bringing us here in the UK wind, rain and mountain snow.

Our current system sure is making it’s presence felt. That’s the wettest/windiest morning I can remember since probably spring! 94 mph gust over Aonach Mor.

Tuesday morning. Expect widespread 30-40 mph gusts, heavy rain and blustery showers to follow. It will feel MUCH colder than recent days!

Note the 850 temps go below freezing across much of the UK in the wake of Gonzalo.

However, it’s as Gonzalo pushes into Europe, it pulls pure arctic air sitting over Russia down and this could lead to a MAJOR and widespread snowstorm late next week!
