Here a quick glance at the latest CFSv2 precip/temp charts for Europe through the June-August period. Interestingly the latest run shows a WARMER and DRIER than normal June for the UK.

As for July and August, the model has ‘equal chances’ with no colour temperaturewise, slightly above normal precip in the northern UK in July, somewhat wetter, more widely in August. I remain with the idea that we could see a spell of major heat over the continent this year with a back and fourth over the UK and western flank, similar to what we’re seeing currently.

Latest Jamstec shows cool south/warm north over UK, warmest the furthest east you go over Europe!
