Scotland
It’s a much better end to today with more in the way of sunshine, less wind and combine the two and it feels much more pleasant despite the temperature remaining below normal. Beneath clear skies and with those lighter winds, temperatures tonight take a tumble, in fact, for some, we could see the first frost outwith a town or city. Lows range between 2-7C.
Wednesday looks like a decent day with plenty of sunshine on offer with much lighter winds. A chance of an odd shower still in the West. Temperature once again remains cool for the time of year at 9-14C.
Another front swings in from the Atlantic Thursday bringing yet more wind and rain.
England
It remains cool, windy and particularly across the South, wet through the early evening, elsewhere it’s drier, brighter and less windy. Through the overnight and it will be chilly, especially under clear skies and lighter winds over central and eastern areas. Always a touch cloudier with a chance of a shower in the west. Overnight lows dip into mid single figures outwith towns and cities where skies are clear with a general range between 3-8C, 10 to 12C in the windier, cloudier South.
Wednesday may remain damp and blustery across the far South but all in all it’s an improving picture with decent spells of sunshine, lighter winds and fewer showers. Temperatures remain subpar but there’s a slight improvement on recent days with highs of 12-17C.
More wet and windy weather arrives during Thursday.
Wales
It’s an improving picture as the rain and blustery conditions ease through this evening, even some clear skies will develop tonight and that will make for a chilly one. Overnight lows in some spots could dip as low as 3 or 4C, widely 5-10C.
Tomorrow is a much better day with less showers, less wind and more sunshine. Although remaining cool at 12-17C, the lighter winds and sunshine will make it feel not too bad. More wind and rain arrives Thursday.
Northern Ireland
After a wet, windy and cold start to Tuesday, conditions are much better to end the day and beneath clearing skies tonight, it will feel cold out there with lows dipping to between 4-9C. Wednesday will be a better day overall with less wind, more sunshine and fewer showers and temperatures will be a touch warmer than it’s been at 12-15C.
Wetter and windier weather returns tomorrow evening as the next front sweeps in from the Atlantic.
Ireland
It’s a much better end to the day compared to how it started and through tonight, skies should clear and with lighter winds, it will get quite chilly with lows dipping to between 4-8, nearer 10C in southern parts.
A brighter day to come Wednesday with much less wind than of late and with fewer showers and more sun, it won’t be too bad out there. Highs a fraction up on recent days at 12-16C. Tomorrow evening will see the next front sweep in bringing yet more wind and a spell of heavy rain to all parts. This should clear east Thursday morning.
