Scotland
Some small changes on the way over the next 24 hrs, greater change comes this weekend in the form of much milder weather. Tonight will see largely cloudy skies along with an easterly breeze. Both will keep the air temp up but it will feel colder with the wind. Chance of an odd flurry along the EC.
Through tomorrow, much of the country stays largely dry with a mix of sun and clouds, however an area of rain is expected to push up into Dumfries and Galloway from the Irish Sea/Solway through the day bringing a damp day to the Southwest, some snow possible over the Galloway hills.
Lows tonight +2 to -2C. Highs tomorrow 4C in the Northeast again, nearer 10 or 11C where sunny.

England
An area of moderate to heavy rain will spread across the South tonight and should clear into East Anglia by morning while patchy rain will push north through the Midlands during Thursday. Expect some breaks in the cloud across the South in the wake of tonight’s rain through tomorrow afternoon but the warming of the surface coupled with cooler air aloft will support heavy, thundery showers. and where those breaks hold longest, temperatures rise nicely, potentially to the warmest values of the year.
A secondary band of rain spreading up through Ireland will bring patchy rain to the North, perhaps bringing a light dusting of snow to the North Pennines. Lows tonight range from -2C in the sheltered and clearer spots of the North to a mild 6-7C in the cloudier, damper South. Highs range from a still-cool 6-7C in the NE while it’s a much milder 14C in London.
Wales
Following a decent day, it turns damp, misty, murky and breezy from south to north through the next 12-18 hours. Staying MUCH milder tonight than of late with lows no lower than 4C, perhaps holding at 6 or 7C in the South. Rain will spread north through Thursday and will be followed by hefty, blustery April showers as the sun filters through on the backside of the rain-band and heats the ground.
Northern Ireland
A weak frontal system will push scattered, light and patchy rain up through southern parts of Ulster tonight, breaking up as it heads north but it’s later in the night where a secondary and much more pronounced front will advance north from the Republic and this will bring a decent soaking through Thursday morning but it too will break up some as it lifts north through the day, becoming showery in nature across the North. Lows tonight dip to 3C, highs tomorrow up to 7C but feeling cool in the east wind.
Ireland
A wet and windy night to come across Ireland as a band of rain associated with a front pushes north. This should clear southern parts later in the night while conditions go down hill across the Midlands on north during Thursday morning. Heavy, thundery showers follow in the wake of the front across the South through Thursday morning and afternoon. Lows tonight no lower than 4-5C, highs tomorrow may reach 12-13C if enough sunshine appears.
