Firstly I wish to apologise for the technical difficulties we have been experiencing over recent days, we appreciate your patience and understanding.
I’m currently down in Savannah, Georgia and my hotel has no internet so, along with the server issues, I’ve also had issues getting internet access. I am writing this post in a café.
As for the weather across the UK and Ireland, there is an interesting few days and really, week ahead as cold continues to envelop the region as forecasted some time ago now. Snow will fall across parts tonight with even low elevations such as the Central Belt getting in on a possible covering by Sunday.
Monday looks to pose a greater threat of accumulating snow as a frontal system works south and east over England, Wales and even Northern Ireland and Ireland, many LOW LEVEL parts could see a covering during Monday and this could well bring travel issues, particularly at rush hour.

This has been talked about for roughly 10 days now and so this is no surprise. I know I keep repeating this but I feel it’s important to remind that this turn to much colder weather was seen long before the models showed this and more or less before anyone else.
Be prepared for snow over the next 48 hours with cold but prepare for COLDER through the upcoming week. Temps by day will really struggle, if not fail to reach 0C, especially with snow on the ground. Clear skies and light winds by night will see lows even in towns and cities plunge towards -4 to -6C next week once the front clears to the south and higher pressure builds on. Some rural spots will possibly fall towards -10C. The Highlands and North of England may see -12C in the coldest spots.

Hi Mark. Met Eireann are giving rain and sleet here. Only snow over mountains. Usual story, just not cold enough here. They also mention Atlantic moves back in on Friday after a few days on the cool side.
