There are two lines of storms to watch across the US this afternoon, the first line now sweeping southeastwards over the Mid-Mississippi valley extends from southern Illinois down through Kentucky, western Tennessee and into Arkansas. This line has already produced damaging winds, some hail and heavy, flooding rains over parts of Missouri. These cells will continue moving southeast through the warm, humid air.
The other line extends from North Carolina down through south Georgia and into far north Florida. These cells could be gusty as they work towards the Atlantic coast and their likely to bring some flooding rains along with lots of lightning.
