Next Week’s ‘Typical Early April Chill’ Will Be Met With Shock Given How Warm This Week Has Been! It’s Not Unusual…
This weekend turns a good deal cooler than today with 8-11C in North, 11-14C in South with more in the way of cloud and showers in far north, Generally cloudy for most, sunniest in East
Given just how warm it’s been throughout this week with widespread wall to wall sunshine, the coming chill will be a shock and will also get people talking about how this is unusual or too late. As a matter of fact, it’s this warmth which is rather unusual for this early and this chill of this weekend and particularly next week will be somewhat typical, keep in mind that’s it’s STILL March today and there have been plenty of early April’s which have produced snow and biting cold weather.
Saturday dawns very differently compared to all of the past 5-7 days with cloudy skies across most areas and this cloud will linger for many throughout the day which will peg back temps considerably compared to what we’ve become use to of late.
NEXT WEEK
Finally some below normal temps, a cold, biting wind. Who will see snow?
While we see a return to reality Saturday and Sunday, it’s Monday through Wednesday where we see the biggest change with an actual dip into below normal temperature territory. Maritime-Arctic air will sweep south as the high shifts way off to the NW. High’s will likely stay BELOW 10C throughout the UK with snow showers becoming frequent and heavy over the higher ground of Scotland, North Pennines, North Wales, Northern Ireland and perhaps even down to the moors of SW England.
