UK Overview
During Saturday and even today, the UK has been largely north-south split with sunshine and showers across Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and the North of England while from the Midlands southwards it’s been cloudy and wet with some heavy bursts in places.

The advance of the trough down over the UK has extended it’s lowering heights into Iberia and this means a sharp reduction in temps from the mid 20s C into mid 10s C and increased rainfall chances. It’s a lot cloudier too and unfortunately for those hoping to catch a pre-easter break to this region, you may be dissapointed this week as a forming area of upper low pressure will break off from the jet and will linger over France, Spain and Portugal bringing heavy showers, possibly t-storms and cloudy skies at times, this will also keep temps fairly cool.
