Another Cold Night For Much of UK, Still Wet Across SE Corner, Turning Wetter & Windy Tues Night For Ireland, Scotland, Northern England

For many across Ireland and the UK today, it was a glorious sunny one and feeling quite pleasant. The high which is providing us with this lovely weather will start to break down through Tuesday following another cold and frosty late winter night under clear skies and light winds. An Atlantic cold front will push across Ireland, Northern Ireland during Tuesday, eventually reaching the West of Scotland later Tuesday into Tuesday night. Expect a pleasant day across Scotland tomorrow with more sunshine, light winds but it’s once we enter the late afternoon and especially after 5pm that you’ll notice winds freshening out of the SSW, turning strong through the evening and overnight with possibly gales blowing for a time across the country. A band of heavy rain will also sweep west to east with the passing of the front. READ MORE!

Growing Colder Across Russia, Poland As Late Season Arctic Chill Bites!

Over the next 36 hours, cold air will intensify over eastern Europe with highs in Moscow struggling to -6C and lows dipping to -10C or colder. Though not particularly unusual, this is however several degree below normal for early March. A low will spread snow across many areas of this region.

Further south and we’re watching low pressure developing over Italy and this will bring rain, wind and cooler than normal air to the central Med and this spreads east Tuesday through Thursday.
