SCOTLAND MAY BREAK THEIR FEBRUARY RECORD OF 17.9C TOMORROW!

The unusually mild weather will once again, like we saw last week, build back into the UK over the next 24 hours as the ridge raises heights over the UK. With the centre of high pressure positioned over Ireland tomorrow, it is northeast Scotland which may be looking at very warm February temperatures with a substantial southwest to westerly flow blowing across the Grampians. If enough sunshine reaches the ground, combined with the winds which will downslope the east face of the mountains before reaching the coast then I think there is a decent shot here at Scotland reaching a new February benchmark for warmth. Significant Cooldown For Everyone, Late Season Cold Blast For Much Of Mainland

As heights build Tuesday through Thursday over western Europe bringing widespread sunshine across France, even Germany, the cold air will continue to get driven south over the eastern side of the continent.
