What does the weather have in store for us for the rest of this week and beyond?
Tonight and Tomorrow across the UK
Tonight will bring more heavy snow showers across western Scotland, possibly northwest England and parts of high-elevation Wales. Tomorrow will be another cold one with highs in the north struggling to reach freezing in the Highlands, 3-4C elsewhere, further south 8-11C with a stiff breeze.
Showers lessen through the day Tuesday across the north but a push of precipitation moving in from the west Tuesday night may bring initial snow to the same areas which have seen the snow thanks to cold air in place but as the Atlantic push of air erodes this cold, snow will change to rain with a strenghening southwest wind.
