Former Hurricane Philippe is set to hammer Iceland and eastern Greenland with gales and heavy rain, mild for UK, growing cooler in north and east

Through this week the UK as well as north France, Belgium and the Netherlands will have a mild week but remaining unsettled with mostly cloudy skies along with periods of rain and wind.

Acorss Scandinavia and down into Russia, Ukraine and even Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey it will grow much cooler as this week progresses and some areas may experience their first taste of winter with some snow. The two cities which come to mind for their first snowfall is Helsinki and Moscow.
