Todays Extremes here at the house
High 34 degrees (2.42pm) Low 30 degrees (5.59am)
RAIN/SNOW: Some light snow showers late afternoon
Snowcover: 1-2″ (approx)
An overnight dominated by a strong NE wind which made the 32-degree air feel colder (mid to upper teens). A generally mild day but feeling colder where the wind remained fresh. Where there was no snow cover like in Glasgow city center, afternoon reading likely neared 40 degrees. Skies remained cloudy but cleared out by around 3pm allowing the lighter wind regime and clear skies to see temperatures fall off quickly. Between 3 and 4pm the temp fell from 34 to 30 degrees and by early evening it had fallen to 27 degrees under clear skies and a light breeze which made for a wind chill nearer 20.
