We live in the warmest days the earth has ever been around. Hottest weeks, hottest months and of course hottest years, decades, centuries. Along with all this “heat” we are coming across record hurricane seasons, take a look at this year! 2009… Just look at all those hurricanes exploding out of control across the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian Oceans. Afterall, their purpose from my understanding is that they remove heat from the tropics and redistribute it across the cooler temperate regions..
Now, look at all the heat waves! I mean anywhere from the Rockies to Eastern Seaboard of the United States is ablaze in all-time record heat!!!! Forget the fact that it’s a top 5 cold July for the first 3 weeks. Forget the fact that in key ocean heat source regions their COOLING down or that Arctic Sea Ice is increasing. Yeh, sure it’s below last year but above 2007’s so-called record minimum but what many extremely intelligent people fail to look at or consider is that the 1990’s have no comparison to the 1930s, not a bit. The earth’s has just underwent another cyclical warm peak in the late 1990s, a little lag pushed a record warm January in 2006 across the USA and indeed a possible peak for the Atlantic warm AMP phase was reached in 2004-2005. The “warm” ship has sailed! With the late 1990s flip of the PDO to cold and then the follow up of a strong Nina, this I believe is the trigger switch to getting the cold ball rolling. Evidence is showing me a cooling off of North America, secondary signalling is showing up across the tropical Atlantic with it’s cooling down.
This article http://icecap.us/images/uploads/HeatWaves_Icecap.doc suggests heatwaves are on the increase and cold days, cold nights and fewer frosts are on the increase, what on earth proves that claim? That is as good as suggesting Hurricane Katrina was caused by Global Warming, yet the same idiots that said that, also say we cannot blame one single event on global warming…
A lot of the alarmists claims of increased record heat does not support official government data as all the continents record heat occured in the late 1800s with the exception of Antarctica which occured in 1950. Interestingly near total absense in new all-time state record heat has occured but when you look back at the 1930s, this shows that this was a warmer period than present.
Des Moines, Iowa which you would think would have global warming effects since it’s far from ocean moderation and record heat would occur regularly, well the last time a record hot day was registered was, 1988! What’s even more interesting is that in January 2009, Waterloo, Iowa hit a new all-time record LOW of -31 degrees. Illinois I still believe at least matched their state low of -36, since it’s hard to get one night that hits -36, look at the thermometer, say it’s faulty, cause after all, we’re living in the days of global warming and this can’t be happening, then watch the following night the temperature hit another -36, faulty, how’s that? lets… just ignore this and deem it “faulty”. I don’t think so!, since surrounding areas in western Illinois dropped below -30 and eastern Iowa hit -40 why is this not plausable? It’s not plausble since it doesn’t look good does it! Bismarck, ND touched it’s second coldest ever reading at -44. Yeh, and they say heat deaths are on a greater increase than cold. Less cold days and less cold nights? Sure..
July 2009. Chicago hasn’t had a colder July the first 3 weeks in 42 years and heat waves are on the increase yeh? It’s -10 below normal in northern PA for gods sakes and below normal from north Florida all the way to Canada and much of the way between east coast and rockies. It’s warmer than normal across the southern plains and up the Western flank but not by much, 1-4 degrees above at best and yes, there does need to be a balance somewhere.
In July 2006, a super hot month across the US coast to coast, I remember it well and yes before you say it, I do love heat and heat waves but I am only going by what I am seeing. Even in 2006’s records and all-time matching state record of 120 in South Dakota, it was nothing near July 1936 for heat. We do and always will see sporadic heat records and even all-time records get tied but what I see happening here is that there is a greater frequency in cold records getting broken. The 1985 cold record was one of the worst. The 1996 outbreak was also a severe cold period albeit brief. Then since 2000 there have been many more cold records smashed than heat and I see an increase in summer, spring and fall cold records breaking. Remembering March 2009 when New Jersey hit -7 in southern New Jersey, Atlantic City hit 3, Salisbury, Maryland got to it’s coldest ever March reading as well as -31 in Longville, Minnesota. May 1 git 12 in Great Falls, Montana. It’s coldest ever May reading. Snow in upper elevated New England in June 1, 2009 and a low of 18 that morning on Mt Washington with below zero wind chills doesn’t always happen. February 2007 was one of the coldest if not coldest period on record for the Midwest, remembering a snowless Chicago hit -10! January 2009 brought a stunning display of cold which I believe “matched” the Illinois record of -36 and indeed a brand new Maine record which I thought may have also been ignored and put down as wrong but I guess they thought too many people would question them and that one better stick. The past two winters have brought record snowfall to the Pacific Northwest, Sierra Nevada a couple of years prior to the 08-09 winter and across the Rockies, the Midwest, areas of the East, not forgetting the record snows of 02-03 across the Appalachains and East. The two back to back record snow years across the Alps of Europe. The 07-08 snows in the Middle East, where many areas have never seen snow in their lifetime, the record cold and snow that hit South America last winter and just over recent days in Argentina and Uraquay.
Even looking back to January 2009 once again. That cold outbreak which was one of the worst outbreaks in 20-25 years would have been the equivalent to an eastern heat wave that smashed several state records as well as widespread city records, but cold records are increasing as the earth cools. What’s concerning is that we are seeing these cold records break at a time when we are still in a non-manmade global warming period, we haven’t entered true cooling yet, the wheels are now turning back to where we were, hold in to a low solarcycle as tjhe natural cycles bring our global climate system back into a cold phase for the next 20-30 years and we may well experience something similar not only to thew 60s and 70s but late 1800s, the era of the dalton minimum and the likely coldest period ever across the entire USA and North America. Some solar scientists do say we’re heading and due for another dalton minimum, that’s worrying.
Sure the world’s net ocean temperature is warmest ever for June or whatever but let me say this, ocean temperature has one of the poorer set of records since, there has been a sparse coverage of sensors out there and recent technology has allowed for better measurement of ocean temperature. Increase the amount or coverage of ocean and you increase your ocean temperature, that’s where your warmest comes from in my book, plus how long do ocean temperature records go back to? Like warm and cold records on land, most if not all records have likely seen warmer and colder, plus surrounding areas that don’t have recording station have also likely seen warmer/colder than those locations with stations. Like I said last night in my post, manipulation of the data will be the next major issue in this fight for a lost theory. Then combine ocean temperature and land, yeah, you’ll manage to come up with warmest years.
If things were even and the government or other sources weren’t bias towards global warming, then why do certain key people chose to ignore interviews to argue their point? I.e. Al Gore refusing to sit with a scientist with his facts in front of him and speak about the actual facts? Al Gore doesn’t know half of what he preaches and every new doomsday piece of nonsense that comes out of his mouth is likely more dollars in his pocket as the media grabs hold of “new evidence”. When they meet in Washington or other places recently, it’s interesting to see them bundled up in heavy coats and stepping over snowdrifts.. I would have thought they would be walking into places in shorts and t-shirts with a pair of cool shades on in January!
I wonder, will like most cold waves in winter, will NOAA and the media keep hush about the stunningly cold July, if so, they will likely have to counteract what their saying as, oh but remember get your ark ready as there’s always next summer where 120 degrees will hit Manhattan and the rivers will rise and flood the city!
Thanks for reading.
