In October and again after unusual warmth it was the UK’s turn to shiver. After Katesbridge, Co Down dipped to -6C Monday morning, the thermometer dipped to an even lower -7.3C at both Sennybridge, Wales and Shap, Cumbria this morning. This in fact was England and Wales’s coldest October temperature since 1997.
