Just two days after Braemar dipped to an overnight low of -1.3C on the morning of August 31, just two afternoon’s later and Lossiemouth warmed to 26C. Braemar’s low was the lowest UK value since May and of all the summer but with the aid of an approaching front driving warm SSW winds over the Grampians, summer-like warmth was enjoyed along the Moray coast.
