A system separating cool from arctic shall speedily sweep ESE this weekend reopening the door to winter once again despite it being April. Not one but two significant snow systems are poised to sweep across Montana, the Dakotas, Minnesota into Wisconsin over the next 7 days with reinforcing shots of late season arctic air.

Then another system forms and slides east on the further south boundary and threatens snow for the Mid-Atlantic into the S Northeast.

Then once that system clears out to sea, yet another N track system brings a swath of snow back across the N Tier.

Note the two snow swaths showing up on the GFS through the next 5 days.
