As we leave the weekend and enter a new working week, bitter cold shall spill out of Scandinavia drifting southwestwards across Germany, Low Countries, SE UK, France and Spain where snow and cold shall dominate. It’ll be cold across the rest of the UK too with widespread snow likely but the core of continental cold will only clip the southeast of England whereas further north high pressure keeps it briefly more settled before a series of Atlantic fronts sweep in bringing rain, sleet and snow. The fronts will impact France and Spain and with cold in place, snow is likely to become widespread and disruptive.

A cold upcoming 5, 10 even 15 day period ahead for all of Western and Southwest Europe according to the GFS ensemble.

GFS snowfall over the next 5, 7 and 10 days! According to this model, MOST of mainland Europe sees snow or is close to it.
