Deep South (& Florida) get 3rd snowstorm in 5 weeks, Coldest air since 1980s, 90s

The third major snow event for Gulf Coast and Deep South including Florida in 5 weeks? Boy what a winter we’re having in an area which often doesn’t have much of one.

This third event has brought not only snow from Houston to Atlanta including the Florida panhandle, this time we’ve seen accumulating snow in metro New Orleans and along with it, the coldest air this region has seen since the 80s and 90s.

Coldest morning in years for South!

This is what the GFS had this morning for lows.
