As expected, winds turned northeasterly last night and so cold winds blowing across a relatively warm North Sea Coast brought pockets of heavy, wind driven snowfall from Aberdeenshire down to Norfolk even the London area. Away from the east coast it’s was sunny but cool, especially in the breeze.

Tonight, these same areas continue with the snow risk while further inland and with a reduction in wind, it’s clear and cold. -10C possible over the Scottish snowfields.
