By late weekend, it’ll feel like winter throughout the UK with the help of a brisk northerly wind, hill snow and increasingly widespread overnight frosts.

Through the weekend, winds increase out of the WNW across northern Ireland and Scotland tonight and through Saturday with gales in the west. Sunday sees the winds turn with a distinct bite to the northerly.
