Heavy Snow Buries Parts Of Eastern Europe, Damaging Gales Hit S Spain, UK Snow Next?

Cold wave 1 of 2 continues to pile drive deep into Southeast Europe with unusually heavy, even crippling snows affecting the Balkans, Romania, Ukraine. By the time we enter next week, it’s Northwest Europe’s turn with snow in the Northern UK forecast.

Meanwhile easterly levanter winds gusting gale-force have caused issues and damage along Spain’s southern coast. San Fernando recorded a gust of 72 mph. A crane in the shipyard of Puerto Real measured a gust of 80 mph.
