No need to add words to the below charts! It’s been warm, record warm.

Just because it’s been a record warm fall for many doesn’t necessarily mean winter will follow. In fact I’m sure your well aware of the cold that’s building over northern North America that’s due to plunge south early next week.

Going by the GFS, Midwestern cities from Minneapolis down to Des Moines to Chicago have one if not two shots at seeing accumulating snow late weekend and early next week before the arctic express arrives.

No big snow is expected by get even a light covering down away from the urban areas and it could mean the difference of up to 10-15 degrees.

GFS is certainly bullish with this winter’s first shot from the arctic.

-45 for Yellowstone Park next Tuesday?

First -10s for Dakotas, Single digits for Minneapolis, even Chicago?

The key will be snow cover!
