At the beginning of October, 2016 I reattempted the climb of Aonach Mor in the Nevis Range following a failed summit attempt back in January 2016. Deep snow stopped me from reaching beyond the weather station but I was determined to make it this time around.
Like back in January, I managed to get great views and great comparison shots between winter and autumn. What a difference snow can make to a mountain landscape.

Rugged, steep character of Carn Mor Dearg’s northern flank becomes apparent with height.

This time I make it beyond the weather station and ascend the final 200mb to the fogbound summit!

Now for the long walk back down. This time I walk rather than use the gondola.
