US: Heat, Humidity & Storms Spread East

A system pushing through the N Rockies is drawing hot and humid air northward up the Plains while an upper low drives cool, dry Canadian air over top enhancing thunderstorm and severe weather potential later today and tonight for the northeast Plains/Midwest.

This system will continue east through the Great Lakes pushing the heat, humidity to the East Coast where a soggy setup emerges late week and through this weekend.
