The past weekend was expected to see a dip below 100F in Salt Lake City but the heat has refused to ease. Today marks the 9th straight 100+F and tied 1960 for 2nd longest such streak on record.

The record of 10 days set back in 2003 is unlikely to be tied since a cold front sweeps through the city tonight.

However, the streak of 95F+ may continue and if so, tomorrow will make 21st straight 95+.
