Last week saw all-time record heat in the Southwest.

This week and it’s getting hot once again.

However, while the heat rebuilds, a cap will be in place as it looks like we’ve the first taste of the 2016 Southwest monsoon on the way. Moisture streaming WNW out of the Gulf across Mexico will be directed towards a developing thermal low over SE California with the aid of a Four Corners high.
