A new week but nothing new on the weather with a parade of fronts set to cause play issues at Wimbledon. Cool, often wet with spells of wind summarises the week ahead.

Note the mid 30s by day in east Poland and mid 20s by night on the Greek and Turkish coasts!
As you can see from this morning’s infrared satellite view, we have a cirrus stream crossing S Ireland representative of a stronger jet and further south position.

South of the jet and with strong sunshine and the help of west wind, temps once again climb towards 40C over the ‘oven of Spain’, very pleasant up and down the Spanish Costas today.

Another system moves in Thursday and following by frequent blustery showers Friday but into the weekend, rather than the focus of wet and windy over England and Wales it’s more Northern Ireland and Scotland and this should allow drier, milder for London and Wimbledon.
