A brief post this evening as I’m about to hit the road for Scotland’s far north to climb another two munros. I’ve not got much to add from before. Texas continues to get hammered but there’s drying on the way thankfully.

The primary focus is of course the tropics and we continue to watch a mass of convection slowly organise in the western Carib.

Interestingly waters north of the system in question are slightly cooler than then should be.

Looks like a classic June track into Florida, likely north of Tampa with a monsoonal trough likely left around the Cancun/Cozumel area while a secondary feature forms to the north and becomes Colin. Forced NNE due to the upper trough over Texas and the building of the ridge east of the Carib Sea.
