Now that we’re turning the upper air pattern on it’s head by reversing the high over low, we’re finally in a position to plug southern warmth as the supressed subtropical high will finally get to lift north.
You may want to dust down those BBQ’s as Fri-Sun is likely to see the first low 20s for many. Depending upon sunshine, low 20s may reach as far north as Glasgow during the weekend.

As the high pumps late spring warmth northward, low pressure will lift north from Iberia too and this is the fly in the ointment as warm, moist air and upper energy

With the trough Iberia trough pushing the high up into Scandinavia early next week, it looks like the best conditions in both sun and warmth may be over Scotland, Denmark and throughout Scandinavia while more unsettled across Iberia, France and southern parts of the UK.
