Deepening Northeast Trough Pushes Series Of Lows South

We have a very interesting pattern next 7-10 days with a series of systems sweeping west to east. The first two will ride north and west of the I-95. That means rain and warm temps DC to Boston but heavy snow for Chicago, Indianapolis and Detroit.

I’ve already stated in the video earlier that there’s plenty of cold arctic air coming down as the strat warming along with the MJO entering phase 8.

To me anyway, I believe the trough deepens over the Northeast with time and colder and colder air drives south forcing the lows further south. That means greater likelihood for 1-3 significant snow events from DC to Boston next 10 days.

Big Midwest snow Tue into Wed.
