A surprise and sneaky coastal snow event has brought a 2-4, locally 6 inch snowfall from eastern Virginia up through New York and 6-8, locally 10-12 inches over parts of Connecticut and Massachusetts. This comes on the heels of abnormal warmth which sent temps over western Mass to 64 degrees just yesterday.

Yesterday’s temperature anomaly. Note the chill in the central region, warmth in Northeast.
