We all know about the series of Atlantic lows that will close May/open June on a very wet, windy and cold note but a significant shift in Europe’s upper air pattern is coming. For details on the weekend and early next week weather, be sure to watch today’s video.

A fair amount of rain to come through the next 7 days.

Still some snow expected over the mountains as this ocean modified air originated over Greenland where it’s -29C this morning.

The GFS ensemble and EPS control show an unusually deep trough overhead through the upcoming 5 days but between day 5-10, 10-15, the upper pattern completely flips with both models showing warm, sunny weather into mid month.

Depending upon how long this ridge pattern lasts, the dry June expected by the CFSv2 may be correct but I agree with the wetter July-August solution. Then again it had May dry and look at it!

Be sure to watch this morning’s video for the discussion. More again tomorrow…
