It’s been quite the 7-day spell for historic snowfall stretching from Chicago to Boston.
Check out these stunning visible satellite images of the snow cover left behind by the twin storms.

Northeast

Chicago just saw it’s 5th biggest snowstorm on record. With over 16″, it was Detroit’s 3rd largest on record.

The first big storm left Boston digging out from over 24″ while the system just gone less than a week later, dropped over 16″. With an astonishing 40.5″, the city has seen the most snow in 7 days on record.

It was cold this morning in the wake of the latest snowstorm.

Think the Northeast US was cold this morning, how about -52F or -46C which was recorded at Wabush Lake in Labrador. Coldest there since 1962!
