If you haven’t seen snow yet, you have a chance (if your away from the immediate coast) either today in the form of showers or there’s a more substantial chance Tuesday-Wednesday as a system comes in from the Atlantic.
By 168 hours or a week from today, this is the GFS’s projected Europe & UK snow cover!

Up till now it’s been chilly but later today into tonight, a front drops south and it’s behind this where the real cold is. We pull down arctic air which will be in place along with clear skies and light winds Sunday night. Over a widespread snow cover, conditions will be just right from some impressive lows Monday morning. Monday won’t be the only cold morning. Tuesday AM will be too along with morning’s later next week AFTER a snow system passes. Somewhere may achieve -15 or -16C over the next 7 days surpassing the coldest value in our last winter which saw snow & cold, 2012-13. If it get’s below -14C, we’ll see the coldest air since winter 2010-11.
ECMWF 2-metre projected lows next week. Note it’s not as cold midweek thanks to cloudier skies and snow in the air.

Cold lasts through AT LEAST the next 7 days or next weekend but beyond that, difficult to say…
