Wild GFS Run Suggests Cold Christmas, Even Colder New Year!!

Written by on December 17, 2014 in Rest of Europe, United Kingdom & Ireland, Winter 2014/15 with 0 Comments

Unfortunately I’m about to hit the road so just a brief write-up today. Be sure to watch the video for more details.

Modelling continues to lean more and more towards the cold idea for the end of December beginning of January with blocking over Davis Straits and Greenland. The latest GFS is pretty wild and not just for New Year but Christmas too.

Check this out! Take note of the thicknesses… lowest yet and this would be true arctic air!

One run DOESN’T make a forecast but there’s more and more push towards colder times ahead!

Will have more tomorrow.
