Pre-Christmas Snowstorm?

Many of you are now asking what the weather pattern might have in store for the Christmas/New Year period. While not going into too much detail based on uncertainty, I have alluded to an interesting, potentially wild festival period coming up. In today’s written post I thought I would show the surface charts of both ECMWF and GFS for the days leading up to Christmas as this will be a busy time for folks grabbing last minutes presents as well as perhaps taking an early road trip to grandma’s.
