With Super Typhoon Nuri poised for a west Pacific recurve combined with a +PNA, Siberian strat warming and big increase in Canadian snow cover should lead to another major Nov cold blast for the Midwest and East US.

This is very like last winter with the Siberian strat warming which lead to a direct discharge of arctic/Siberian air into the US.

+PNA says western ridge/eastern trough

-AO supports another ARCTIC plunge but positioning of the strat warming directs it into the Lower 48.

The recurve of Super Typhoon Nuri could set the wheels in motion by pumping a very strong ridge into Alaska.

ECMWF day 3-10 500mb height anomalies.
