NHC track now turning towards Baja/SoCal now too.

Water temperatures directly beneath Norbert are well above normal. There will be gradual weakening as he encounters cooler water off the northern Baja in a few days.

GFS has Norbert strengthening as it parallels the Baja before turning NW and weakens over the cooler water.

ECMWF has Norbert stronger and closer to the coast if not on it within 24-36 hrs.

East Coast mischief next week?

The QPF rain chart shows Norbert’s moisture streaming into the Southwest but also sees BIG rains up the EC, suggesting there’s some sort of system worth watching!
