Scotland
After a fairly cloudy afternoon, skies will turn clear through tonight and since the front is to the south, introducing a cooler air mass, it will turn quite chilly overnight with lows widely down to 3 or 4C in rural areas, nearer 5 to 7C in towns and cities.
Thursday looks fine, dry and sunny and with light winds it will feel very pleasant with highs reaching 14-16, locally 17C.
Friday will see rain spread into western areas, drier and brighter in the east with highs similar to tomorrow.
England
It’s a mixture of sunshine and a few showers to end the day across England with the best chance of somewhat more prolonged spells of rain along the south coast and southwest. Through tonight and it stays largely cloudy with an odd shower and fog patch quite possible. Turning clearer in the east and so temperatures here may drop into mid single figures. Widely 8-12C for lows.
Thursday will be a west-east split with a lot of cloud and always that chance of drizzle and mist, especially over hilly areas but head further east and it’s sunnier and here, temperatures will warm nicely with little wind. Highs 15-20C
Friday is looking dry and sunnier for many.
Wales
It’s a fine, dry, sunny and warm end to the day across Mid and South Wales, cloudier with a few showers in the North. Through tonight and the cloud builds and fog reforms quickly after sunset. Lows once again will be mild, dropping no lower than 12-15C.
Thursday starts off cloudy and foggy but through the morning the cloud lifts into the higher variety and hopefully through the afternoon we should see some sunshine peeking through. Highs of 17-20C.
Friday is looking not too bad with a mix of sun and cloud.
Northern Ireland
It’s a largely cloudy end to Wednesday across Northern Ireland and through this evening expect the thinner, higher cloud to lower once again with fog reforming. Another fairly mild night to come with lows no lower than 1o or 11C.
A generally cloudy, somewhat breezier day Thursday with a few showers around but all in all it’s not too bad, some late day sun perhaps in the north.
More cloud with some rain during Friday.
Ireland
The benign misty, murky, cloudy, drizzly theme continues across the Republic with a lot of cloud around to end the day and tonight, the cloud simply lowers in the sky and fog reforms producing patchy light rain and drizzle. Not a cold night with lows of 11-15C.
Thursday will see plenty more cloud but I am optimistic that we should see spells of sunshine, especially through the late morning into the afternoon. Just a slight chance of some light rain or showers pushing into western areas. Highs 15-20C.
As for Friday expect light and patchy rain to start but clearing through the day making way for a brighter afternoon and evening.
