It’s one hot, humid and oppressive afternoon throughout the Lower Midwest, Ohio Valley and Northeast with temps soaring well into the 90s and for some, the low 100s.
A cold front drapped over New England is slowly creeping south, feeding off the heat and humidity flowing northeast around an offshore Bermuda high. Along this front, strong to severe storms are firing over northern Ohio, New York up into the heart of New England.
These are current temps below.
By the time we get to tomorrow, the cold front will have advanced deeper into the Northeast and while it will be another roaster from DC to New York with more mid and upper 90s, expect late pm storms to start firing and these may get fiesty into the evening hours over the Big Cities.
More post to come later!
