>Todays Extremes here at the house
High 39 degrees (1.39pm) Low 31 degrees (10.04am)
RAIN/SNOW: Heavy windblown snow, hail and ice pellet mix.
Snowcover: Covering (quarter inch)
A return to “wintry” weather with the arrival of windblown snow which became heavy at times and brought a fresh quarter inch of snowcover. Skies eventually cleared out midmorning and brought bright sunshine the rest of the day. The mild air mass despite the snowcover and strong NW winds, warming occured and produced a high of 39 degrees which likely would have been the low if not mid-40s had it not been for snow on the ground. Tonight skies are clear and winds are what may hold the temperature from dropping off to the low 20s tonight. If winds calm and skies stay clear, a run at 22 degrees for the low is within range, but if winds remain mixing the air through the nights lows hold in the upper 20s with low 20-degree windchills.
