>Todays Extremes here at the house
High 31 degrees (2.51pm) Low 22 degrees (2.39am)
SNOW/RAIN: Fresh blanket of around 1″ of new snow overnight as clouds roll in from the east
Snowcover: 1-2″
An overnight which brought a furtheast westward advancement of the snowbands which brought a fresh inch or so of snowfall to much of the central belt region of the country. With snow falling in low 20s, a rare “powdery” snow meant you could blow the snow off your car this morning. I read a reading around 2.30am this morning of 22 degrees with snow falling. That is fairly unusual and indicative of the Arctic air mass in place. A day which brought periodic flurries and a much warmer day overnight than yesterday. Tonight winds are picking up and readings are at 27 degree presently as of 9.50pm, meaning lows may be limited to how low they go, however wind chills may fall to icy levels. Wind loosen up and skies remain clear, we may hit 18-19 degrees by morning.
