High 39 degrees Low 30 degrees
RAIN/SNOW: NONE
An overnight that continued to see a cold northeast wind which though felt below freezing, kept the temperature above freezing but before sunrise winds calmed enough for the temperature to fall to a low of 30 degrees. A brilliantly sunny day with Glasgow recieving the most hours of sunshine than anywhere else in Britain (6.4 hours). Those sunny skies, calm wind and cool daytime air, allowed a rapid drop off in temperature straight after sunset and as frost forms fast, temperatures are tumbling into the 20s by 9pm and heading below the coldest so far of 27 degrees which was recorded back on the morning of Mon 9th November http://markvoganweather.blogspot.com/2009/11/ida-update-and-photos-from-this.html.
